Charissa Thompson
Thompson was a former FOX Sports host who left FOX Sports for Yahoo Sports in 2010, as well as hosted Versus Sports. She hosted Versus' NHL studio coverage and produced web-based content for the highly-visited Yahoo platform, leading the website's coverage of high-profile sporting events like those of the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV as well as the BCS National Championship. She became a popular host in both areas, which led her to join ESPN in August 2011. In this role she was the host of the brand new program in the afternoon called "Numbers Never Lie" on the network. Following a switch towards "SportsNation," she enjoyed a long-lasting run of success. She left the network to launch FS1 on Los Angeles, May 2013 before returning to Los Angeles. As a sports lover at heart, Thompson has also shown the impressive versatility to cross into the entertainment world of television. In June of 2014, following several part-time jobs Thompson was hired as a as a permanent co-host for the Hollywood nightly newsmagazine "Extra". The show was filmed in Universal Studios and also worked on award shows, celeb events and various other gatherings.
